How do I play?

Asked with: Sushi Go!bg-133473-en-1e

### Setup
1. Shuffle all cards well.[1]
2. Deal cards to players based on the number of players: 10 cards each for 2 players, 9 cards each for 3 players, 8 cards each for 4 players, and 7 cards each for 5 players.[1][2]
3. Hold cards in hand, secret from opponents.[1]
4. Place the remaining cards in a face-down pile in the center of the playing area.[1]
5. Designate one player as the scorekeeper and use paper and pencil to keep score.[1]
### Playing a Round
1. The game takes place over 3 rounds.[1]
2. To start a round, all players simultaneously choose 1 card from their hands to keep and place it face-down in front of them.[1]
3. If a player has a chopsticks card in front of them, they may call out “Sushi Go!” before others reveal their cards to take a second card from their hand and place it face-down.[3][4]
4. Everyone reveals their chosen cards.[1]
5. Pass your remaining hand face-down to the player on your left.[1] (Note: In a two-player variant, players may alternate passing hands to the right in round 2 [5]).
6. Everyone picks up their new hands and the next turn begins.[1]
7. The round ends when the final remaining card of each hand is passed on; this card is placed face-up with the other collected cards.[3][4]
### Scoring
**During a Round:**
* **Maki Rolls:** The player with the most maki roll icons scores 6 points; the player with the second most scores 3 points.[3] If players tie for most or second, points are split evenly (ignoring remainders).[3]
* **Tempura:** A set of 2 cards scores 5 points; otherwise, it scores 0.[6]
* **Sashimi:** A set of 3 cards scores 10 points; otherwise, it scores 0.[6]
* **Dumplings:** Points are awarded based on the number of cards: 1 card = 1 pt, 2 = 3 pts, 3 = 6 pts, 4 = 10 pts, 5+ = 15 pts.[7][6]
* **Nigiri and Wasabi:** A wasabi card triples the value of the next nigiri.[7] Squid scores 3 points (9 if on wasabi), Salmon scores 2 points (6 if on wasabi), and Egg scores 1 point (3 if on wasabi).[6] A wasabi card with no nigiri scores nothing.[6]
* **Chopsticks:** Scores nothing.[6]
* **Pudding:** These are not scored until the end of the game.[6]
**Ending the Game:**
1. After the third round, score pudding cards.[5]
2. The player with the most pudding cards scores 6 points; the player with the fewest (including those with none) loses 6 points.[5]
3. If there is a tie for most or least, the points/lost points are split evenly (ignoring remainders).[5]
4. In a 2-player game, no one loses points for puddings; only points for the most pudding cards are awarded.[5]
5. The player with the most points after 3 rounds wins; in a tie, the player with the most pudding cards wins.[5]

what this block IS: the PASSAGE SEARCH's own results — the same search that fills this page's closest-passages list — and NOT the passages the answerer read. Answering runs its OWN retrieval: a far wider candidate pool, re-ranked down to a final handful, plus floors this search never applies — the base rulebook, surviving errata corrections, and one slot per book on a multi-book read. Each of those armed only if THIS ask sent what it needs: the boost block names the ids it forwarded, and the scope line names the books it read. A document the answer CITES that no row here names is therefore EXPECTED, not a defect: two searches, two candidate pools, two orders. The answerer's own final rows are shown in their own block below, beside these and never mixed into them.

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

what this block IS: the passages the ANSWERING read put in front of the answerer, in the order it read them — the other half of the two reads described above, and the one that decides what the answer could possibly say. Each row names the book it came from and where in that book it sits, what it scored when the search arms were fused, which arm carried it there, and whether the re-ranker chose it or a floor guaranteed it a slot. A row here that no passage-search row names is EXPECTED: a far wider pool, re-ranked, with floors the passage search never applies.

candidate pool: the answering read scored 8 passages, out of a ceiling of 80 set gateway-side. Both figures are reported by the gateway for THIS ask — measurements of what actually happened, not constants read out of anyone's source and printed here on faith.

floors armed for this ask: the base rulebook — armed · surviving errata corrections — not armed · one slot per book on a multi-book read — not armed. Every floor is stated on every ask, armed or not, so a floor that did not apply here is never mistaken for one this app does not know about.

arms fused for this ask: vector + full-text + the doc-priority boost arm. Stated separately from the rows because an arm that ran and carried nothing is a different fact from an arm that never ran.

first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.

both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. this game registers NO errata cards (edition 530), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
