How do I play?

The game is divided into three weeks, with each week consisting of seven days (turns).[1] A turn is divided into two phases: Supplying and Player's actions.[1]
**Setup**
1. Place the boards as instructed.[2]
2. Place the Supervisor (white pawn) on the center square of the road on the City board.[2]
3. Place the dice close to the Tower board.[2]
4. Place the week marker on space 1 of the week counter and the day marker on space 1 of the day counter on the City Board.[2]
5. Keep Gold coins and Camels in the general stock.[2]
6. Shuffle cards and place them in a face-down stack.[2]
7. Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding cubes and individual board.[2]
8. Each player places a cube of their color on square 0 of the scoring track.[2]
9. Each player is given 2 Gold coins.[2]
10. The oldest player takes the black 'First player' pawn and plays first.[2]
**Turn Sequence**
**Phase 1: Supplying**
1. The first player takes the 9 white dice and may pay 1 Gold coin per yellow die to add up to 3 yellow dice.[1]
2. The first player casts the dice and sorts them by value.[1]
3. The player places dice groups on the Tower board from lowest value to highest value, filling the board square by square from bottom to top.[1] The lowest value goes to the Camel square, the second lowest to the Sack square, and the highest value always goes to the Gold square.[1]
**Phase 2: Player's Actions**
Starting with the first player and moving clockwise, each player may take up to two actions:[1]
1. **Select a group of dice (compulsory action):**
* The player removes one dice group from the Tower board; this group is no longer available to subsequent players.[3]
* Depending on the chosen square, the player may take one of three available actions:[3]
* **Take Camels:** The player takes as many Camels from the general stock as there are dice in the group on the Camel square.[3]
* **Take Gold:** The player takes as many Gold coins from the general stock as there are dice in the group on the Gold square.[3]
* **Supply shops in the neighborhood:** The player takes as many cubes from their personal stock as there are dice in the chosen group and places them in shops in the corresponding neighborhood.[3] A player cannot choose this if all shops in the neighborhood are filled or occupied by another player.[3]
* During this selection, a player may discard one card to obtain one more die than the square contains (e.g., one more coin or one more cube).[4]
* The player may also move the Supervisor or take a card, which are actions available on every square.[3]
* After the action, yellow dice are removed and are unavailable to other players.[3]
2. **Construct a special building (optional action):**
* After completing a mandatory action, a player may build a building by paying the price in Gold coins and Camels from their personal stock.[5]
* The player places a cube on the special building on their individual board.[5]
* Buildings grant special powers until the end of the game.[5]
* A player may only build each type of building once.[5]
3. **Free Actions:**
* At any time during their turn, a player may play a card to trigger the effects described on its face.[4]
**End of the Week and Game**
1. At the end of the week, players count points in the neighborhoods and at the caravan, then move their markers on the score track.[6]
* **Neighborhoods:** Players score for completed souks based on the souk's value; players owning the Bazaar score 2 additional points for each completed souk.[6] Unfinished souks score nothing.[6] After counting, neighborhoods are emptied and cubes return to personal stocks.[6]
* **Caravan:** Players score points equal to their cubes in the Caravan multiplied by the highest line occupied by at least one of their cubes.[6]
2. The week marker moves one step right, the day marker returns to day one, and the Supervisor returns to the center square of the road.[6]
3. The player to the left of the current first player becomes the new first player.[6]
4. The game ends when the third week is over.[6]
5. The player with the highest score wins; tied players share the victory.[6]

what this block IS: the PASSAGE SEARCH's own results — the same search that fills this page's closest-passages list — and NOT the passages the answerer read. Answering runs its OWN retrieval: a far wider candidate pool, re-ranked down to a final handful, plus floors this search never applies — the base rulebook, surviving errata corrections, and one slot per book on a multi-book read. Each of those armed only if THIS ask sent what it needs: the boost block names the ids it forwarded, and the scope line names the books it read. A document the answer CITES that no row here names is therefore EXPECTED, not a defect: two searches, two candidate pools, two orders. The answerer's own final rows are shown in their own block below, beside these and never mixed into them.

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

what this block IS: the passages the ANSWERING read put in front of the answerer, in the order it read them — the other half of the two reads described above, and the one that decides what the answer could possibly say. Each row names the book it came from and where in that book it sits, what it scored when the search arms were fused, which arm carried it there, and whether the re-ranker chose it or a floor guaranteed it a slot. A row here that no passage-search row names is EXPECTED: a far wider pool, re-ranked, with floors the passage search never applies.

candidate pool: the answering read scored 14 passages, out of a ceiling of 80 set gateway-side. Both figures are reported by the gateway for THIS ask — measurements of what actually happened, not constants read out of anyone's source and printed here on faith.

floors armed for this ask: the base rulebook — armed · surviving errata corrections — not armed · one slot per book on a multi-book read — not armed. Every floor is stated on every ask, armed or not, so a floor that did not apply here is never mistaken for one this app does not know about.

arms fused for this ask: vector + full-text + the doc-priority boost arm. Stated separately from the rows because an arm that ran and carried nothing is a different fact from an arm that never ran.
